Planck

Planck was a space observatory operated by ESA from 2009 to 2013, which mapped the cosmic microwave background (CMB) at microwave and infrared frequencies, with high sensitivity. Planck provided a major source of information relevant to several cosmological and astrophysical issues. It has provided the most accurate measurements of the age and rate of expansion of the Universe, and of the fraction of dark energy and dark matter in the Universe.
