Gedanken zu Multiversen: Es ist schwer darzustellen, aber unser Universum könnte nur eine winzige Knospe an einem riesigen Baum voller verschiedener Multiversen sein – ein Multiversum voll von unendlichen Möglichkeiten.

Multiple Ichs: Wenn unser Universum wirklich unendlich ist, muss es sich aufgrund der endlichen Kombinationsmöglichkeiten an irgendeinem Punkt selbst wiederholen. In diesem Fall gibt es weit entfernte Kopien unseres beobachtbaren Universums – inklusive Kopien von uns selbst.

Simulierte Realität: Könnten wir ein simuliertes Universum erschaffen, das von einem echten nicht unterschieden werden kann? Falls das möglich wäre: könnte dann unser Universum die Computersimulation eines anderen Daseins sein?

Ist unser Universum einmalig? Oder ist es Teil eines größeren Multiversums voller unendlicher Möglichkeiten? Niemand weiß es. Es gibt jedoch viele vorstellbare Entwürfe, wie multiple Universen existieren könnten. Sie könnten sich voneinander abspalten, parallel nebeneinander existieren oder einander in der Zeit folgen. Manche Physiker glauben, dass die Existenz eines Multiversums einen frappierenden Umstand erklären könnte: warum unser Universum perfekt für Komplexität und Leben zu sein scheint. Für andere Wissenschaftler sind Diskussionen über andere Universen reine Spekulation, da man sie nicht beweisen kann.
Parallele Welten: Wie parallele Blätter Papier könnte auch unser Universum zwischen andere, parallele Universen eingebettet sein. Vielleicht sind sie unserem zwar nah, aber durch höhere räumliche Dimensionen getrennt.
Die Erde ist nicht einmalig. Sie ist nur ein Planet unter anderen im Sonnensystem. Auch die Sonne ist nicht einmalig. Sie ist nur ein Stern von vielen in der Milchstraße. Und es gibt zahllose Galaxien im Universum. Warum sollte es also nur ein Universum geben?
