ESO — Reaching New Heights in Astronomy
ESO Supernova Public Newsletter
13 June 2024

Dear visitors and supporters,

The first half of 2024 is almost over and the ESO Supernova team have been very busy. We have hosted two concerts, one public talk and we started a new series “Kosmisches Kino”. Since re-opening on 31 January, over 24000 people have visited us!

Now we are very happy to publish the planetarium programme until the end of the year. Favourites such as Planets – Expedition into the Solar System and From Earth to the Universe remain in our standard programme, as well as the new shows Black Hole: First Picture, The Dark Side of Light and Little Major Tom. Tickets can be booked online now.

Don’t miss the chance to attend the next Kosmisches Kino event on Thursday, 11 July at 19:00. This event will be in English and features ESO scientist Marta de Simone, who will give an introduction to astrochemistry. Find out more on the event webpage.

And, keep your eyes open for further new planetarium shows which will be added to the programme in the coming months, as well as more music events.

Many thanks for your continued support!

Tania Johnston
Head of ESO Supernova
