Dear educators and others interested in the educational programme of ESO Supernova!

In this newsletter, we are asking for your support to advertise a job offer to make ESO Supernova's education programme even more attractive.

We at ESO Supernova in Garching near Munich currently have a vacancy for a full-time Education Specialist and are seeking someone with experience in the area of Kindergarten and/or primary school education. The position has been created thanks to a collaboration with Forscherstation Heidelberg and the person will be responsible for expanding the education offer at the ESO Supernova, both for children aged 3-12 years and their educators. As an early childhood education specialist, you will work on the development and implementation of educational materials for inquiry-based learning as well as on the delivery of the education programme, which is linked to the school curricula as well as to the planetarium shows and the astronomy exhibition. You will also be the day-to-day contact for the schools and Kindergartens and responsible for the training sessions for educators and primary school teachers at ESO Supernova.

The position is made possible thanks to support from the Klaus Tschira Stiftung.

The application deadline is September 10, 2021.
