ESO — Reaching New Heights in Astronomy
ESO Supernova Public Newsletter
23 August 2021

Dear visitor and supporters,

It has been lovely to welcome so many of you again through our doors these past months. We write to you today, to let you know about further measures we are introducing to help keep everyone safe. Across Germany the 3G rule is being implemented. You can read more about how this will affect your visit to the ESO Supernova here.

During the school summer holidays, you have your final chance to see the fantastic planetarium show “The Secrets of Gravity” from our local partners Softmachine. Don’t miss your chance!

Also, we are currently looking to hire an education specialist to strengthen our team. The position has been created thanks to a collaboration with Forscherstation Heidelberg and the person will be responsible for expanding the education offer at the ESO Supernova, both for children aged 3-12 years and their educators. The position is made possible thanks to support from the Klaus Tschira Stiftung. The full job description can be found here: https://supernova.eso.org/education/forscherstation/news/ We would be very grateful if you could pass this advert on to anyone you know who might be interested.

We hope you are enjoying the summer and look forward to welcoming you here in the ESO Supernova soon.

Tania Johnston
Head of ESO Supernova
