Dear Visitors and Supporters,
As the longer and colder nights approach, the ESO Supernova offers several opportunities for indoor activities.
On October 17, don't miss the opportunity to experience hip-hop music under the stars with Zweierpasch. This will be a fantastic energetic event featuring the band from Freiburg and Strasbourg. There are still tickets available here.
On November 7, the ESO Supernova will be open until 8:00 PM. At 5:00 PM, you can watch "Unseen Universe," and at 6:30 PM, we will show "Worlds Beyond Earth." In both of these planetarium shows there will also be a short live introduction to the current night sky. The exhibition can, of course, still be visited free of charge at any time during these extended opening hours.
On Thursday, November 13th, take the opportunity to learn more about star systems with the next Kosmisches Kino. Dr. Asmita Bhandare from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich will show us how baby stars form and how material accumulates around them, forming the cradle of planets. You can read more about this English-language talk in this post.
And on Saturday, November 15th, we are pleased to welcome the Swiss band NOVA back. If you haven't experienced this beautiful combination of music and images in the planetarium yet, don't miss it! You can get a taste of their music on this webpage.
Thank you for your continued interest and support.
Best wishes
Tania Johnston
